Great link. I'm not very tech savvy but it makes sense they would run into trouble with such huge data demands. I've personally seen Facebook's new "data center " in Prineville Oregon. It gobbles a massive amount of water and power. It has 2-3 story solid concrete exterior and a massive footprint. It looks more like a military operation than a business.

Right, it has long been known that SSD technology is not reliable and you are better off with rotating media disks. I was surprised to see them make this among all the other mistakes they make.

Data centers will be large yes and consume many resources, lets better say waste resources.

Yahoo made one in Niagara County NY (Lockport) a place that did all this atrocity to me as a child. I find the decision to build there baffling.

Their faux ethic and prejudice would negate any of their technical offerings or business dealings in any location really.
