Might I suggest... instead of using the phrase "Conspiracy Theory"... how about using...
"Alternative Viewpoint"
(( somewhat similar to Alternative Health Protocols... like the one I used to rid cancer from myself in about 6 weeks or less. Without any side-effects whatsoever. ))
Perhaps You might be the right person to help with a series of interviews where many important topics could be freely given/shared.
HI, I am the alternative media journalist who wrote this. First off, I am glad you liked my work. Second, I am using "conspiracy theory" because that's what they are using themselves.

I would not let others "control the narrative"... especially allowing those that "Twist-the-Truth".
Words "hold" Power and are able to direct/control the narrative in ways that can often be subtle, even subliminal... which You are already very aware of.
Am respectfully and hopefully politely suggesting...
YOU "take the reins" of Your Perspective and drive home Your Factual Data/Information to Your Audience.
(( The "reins" of the horses, metaphorically, are the words, which either empower or weaken the success of Your writing. Don't allow the narrative to be controlled by others that often use sophisticated ways to obfuscate/misdirect the truth...))
