Only use Youtube to promote your DTube site? Sounds brilliant right? Well, they thought of that too. If you look in the TOS, actively directing people off of youtube is a violation. I have seen people receive strikes for this. If you make a video like "hey, screw youtube, find me over here, link in the description" DO expect a strike. These people are very evil and very clever.
I just read through their TOS and didn't see any clauses that appeared to fit the description you give here. What is the url and number of the clause you are referring to here?
