Bioluminescent waves, a spectacle of nature.
Wooo, A beach that shines!
This wonderful visual effect is the bioluminescent waves or neon waves and are the product of the activity of millions of microscopic organisms that have the ability to shine according to what circumstances. The bugs in question are the Lingulodinium polyedrum, or dinoflagellates that glow like fireflies when disturbed. For this reason, they only shine when they are dragged on the crests of the waves or when they break on the beach.

It is known as bioluminescence to the production of light of certain living biological organisms such as: bacteria, fungi, worms, mollusks, fish, and so on.
To be able to enjoy this little wonder of nature, certain conditions must be met. These small creatures live and feed on marine plankton and tend to concentrate on sea beds rich in coral. In late spring and early summer, sudden changes in water temperature often cause reproductive imbalances of populations that grow wildly and sometimes cause these clouds of bacteria to be washed to shore. In spite of how idyllic it can be to take a bath in bright waters, the appearance of these neon waves tend to be a harbinger of a red tide, which is nothing more than the accumulation in excess of these bacteria, which in the light of day can be seen of that color. The phenomenon can occur anywhere on the planet, although the most normal thing is to be able to observe it in relatively temperate oceanic waters.

Undoubtedly, a night show that for the ephemeral, few have the luck to enjoy.
The days of a full moon the sea shines so poetic ... Paths of light are formed in the sea, and its soft glow invites you to dream. It also reminds us of Espronceda in La Canción del Pirata when he said that of "the moon in the sea shines". This time, however, instead of shimmering, it shines brightly, emitting a magical flash that transforms the waters into an incredible sea of stars.

Few natural phenomena are as spectacular as witnessed by these images taken by Taiwanese photographer Will Hom during his vacation in the Maldives. Did you pull Photoshop? It is what it seems but doing it was unnecessary, simply because it is a phenomenon as real as life itself.
