DailyCelestialChallenge: Saturday-Agriculture

Have you ever wondered if you sow sparingly? Do you contribute in that way ?. Imagine that a farmer sowed a quantity of grain on a plot of land and picked up an abundant crop. But the following year said: "Well, this year, it will not do any good to waste so much seed on this plot, I will save seed by sowing only half." Any farmer knows that he will then pick up a very small crop. The principle is that he who sows little, little will reap and he who sows a lot, will reap abundantly.

One of the reasons why many of us lack many things today, is because we are very mean when we are dealing with the Lord. Paul speaks in him in verse 7, chapter 9, of the Second Epistle to the Corinthians:

"Each one gives as he proposed in his heart: not with sadness or obligation, because God loves the cheerful giver".

What you feel in the depths of your heart that you must give, that is precisely what you should give. Not reluctantly. God does not want anyone to give something with sadness or resignation. God does not want to receive anything that you would prefer to keep for yourself. And not only does God not want you to give with sadness. Nor does he want you to feel obligated to do so. He prefers that you do not contribute at all, unless you do it gladly and cheerfully.

We do not know anyone who has been ruined by giving too much to the work of the Lord. Maybe there are people like that, but we have not met anyone, really. On the contrary, God is going to bless him. And we do not believe that all of God's blessings are always material. We think that many people think that way and they want God to do it that way. But we do not believe that it must necessarily be so. He has promised to bless us with every spiritual blessing. Verses 9 and 10 say:

"As it is written: He divided, he gave to the poor, his justice remains forever. And he who gives seed to the sower and bread to the one who eats, will provide and multiply your seed and increase the fruits of your righteousness"

This is a quote from Psalm 112, in which the one who fears the Lord is considered happy and generously helps the poor.

The farmer who does not mind spreading a quantity of seed, because he believes that he will harvest an abundant crop. It is God who multiplies the seed of the sower. And it is God, dear listener, who will multiply everything you do for Him. So keep this in mind when you contribute to the work of the Lord.
