DailyCelestialChallenge: Monday-Darkness

hello community of steemit especially @steemchurch today I dare with great enthusiasm to be part of this excellent initiative #celestialchallenge by @sirknight. Monday-darkness.Source

Throughout time we have found several meanings of darkness in different themes, whether in biblical texts, in science, poetry, mythology, fiction, we will see how each of them defines it.

biblical texts

several biblical texts tell us about the darkness:

John 3:19 And this is the judgment: for light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, for their deeds were evil.

Luke 1:79 to give light to those who dwell in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet in the way of peace.

Deuteronomy 28:29 and you will grope at noon like the blind man gropes in the dark, and you will not prosper in your ways; rather, you will be oppressed and stolen continually, without anyone saving you.

Exodus 20:21 then the people were in the distance, and Moses approached the darkness in which God was.

the last one we quoted leaves us some questions, in Psalm 104: 2 and in 1 Timothy 6:16 it tells us that God is light, then, why was God in darkness when Moses approached him?

As a child I have heard that no one can see the face of God and stay alive, even Exodus 33:20 tells us about this, he said more: you can not see my face; because he will not see man, and he will live.

So we can say that God appears in darkness and not in light of Moses not because he is not a glorious God, but he did so to be able to communicate and protect Moses, if God were shown in light with all his glory none Survive the presence of God.

The science

science teaches us that darkness is a very low level of light, example in a room completely covered without light sources, it makes us see that everything is reflected as in the night by the little source of light. it tells us that light has several levels, the high frequency and the very low frequency; that is to say that physically one can not create darkness.

the poetry

When we speak of darkness in poetry we always refer to evil, depression, the presence of shadows, negative things that can lead to mental illnesses such as the fear of people suffering from nictofobia.

the mythology

The concept of darkness in mythology is also associated with evil, demonic entities such as satan, hell or the underworld. The Gnostic religious teach that the world is the result of the war between darkness and light, also associating it with evil.

Fiction

in fiction, darkness is often based on disastrous and undesirable events, places associated with death, evil and suffering.

So despite the fact that the darkness in each of its various definitions gives us a very negative vision that is associated with evil, evil entities, hell, undesirable events, disasters, even figuratively suspense can also refer to death or a period of time of pain and suffering, involving ignorance or error, eternal misery and symbolize in turn financial, family and social relations problems that transmits suspense and fear.

we have the full conviction that God lives with his people even in the darkest moments of life. No matter how dense the darkness in which we find ourselves, God will dwell with us in all circumstances, because He makes darkness his pavilion and hides his glory from human eyes, but it is always there.

Let us not forget that in the dark moments of life, God does not abandon us, but as a good shepherd he will rescue his sheep. Trust firmly in him and all darkness in our life will perish.
