Wheat and tares

Wheat is a plant belonging to the family of grasses, composed of cylindrical stems, commonly hollow, interrupted by alternate knots and leaves that sprout from them and embrace the stem. The knots of the stem extend towards the upper area, in which a spike is formed that has between 35 and 50 grains, of oval shape. The leaves, on the other hand, are of a linear - lanceolate (ie, straight, elongated and pointed) form, with ligule, scabbard, and perfectly defined atria. The root is fasciculate, with a large number of branches, which can take a depth of 25 to 60 centimeters. It usually measures between 0.7 and 1.2 meters in height. It occurs in deep and loose soils, and in areas where the temperature oscillates between 3 and 30 ºC, being the most optimal between 10 and 25 ºC. Generally, wheat is planted in the regions near the Mediterranean Sea, where climate and temperature favor its growth. The list of countries that harvests the most are the United States, India, China, Australia, Canada, Russia, Ukraine, Pakistan, Iran, Turkey, Argentina and Kazakhstan. Its main parts are the bran and the germ. The first is the outer and fibrous layer, and the germ is the center which is removed during refinement or after processing in the mills, and is used in thousands of preparations, such as loaves, noodles, doughs and dietary products . Also resulting in white flour. The weed, on the other hand, is an herbaceous plant, also belonging to the Gramineae family. Its stem is rigid, it can grow up to one meter in height, with inflorescences in the spike and a grain of violet color. Possesses toxic properties, This is found in the fungus Claviceps purpurea, which is often raised in this plant as a parasite releasing the active ingredient called temulin which is very poisonous. So their seeds and the flour obtained from them are toxic for human consumption and whoever consumes them can experience nausea, seizures and even death. It usually grows spontaneously in the fields where the wheat grows. That is why it is considered as a weed. The similarity between these two plants the tares and the wheat is so great, that in some regions the tares are usually called "false wheat".

The tares are as old as the wheat, but their properties are totally different. Wheat is beneficial; instead, the tares are harmful and are very difficult to remove or eliminate, so it is recommended to let them grow together until they bear their fruits, in order to recognize them, as the wheat could be damaged when trying to extract the tares. It is often used symbolically in different ways linked to harmful issues that refer to vices and bad actions, including conflicts, all related to evil.

The Gospel of Matthew 13, 24-30 describes, in an agricultural parable, the mystery of the Kingdom of God.

13:24 He told them another parable, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field;
13:25 But while the men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and departed.
13:26 And when the grass came out and bore fruit, then the tares also appeared.
13:27 Then the servants of the householder came and said to him, Lord, did you not sow good seed in your field? Where, then, does it have tares?

13:28 He said to them: An enemy has done this. And the servants said to him, Would you, then, that we go and snatch it?
13:29 He said to them, Nay, lest by tearing up the tares, you should also tear the wheat with it.
13:30 Let both grow together until the harvest; and at the time of the harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather the weeds first, and bind them in bundles to burn them; but gather the wheat in my barn.

Jesus explains the parable of the tares.

Matthew 13: 36-43

13:36 Then, when the people left, Jesus entered the house; and his disciples came to him and said, Explain to us the parable of the tares of the field.
13:37 He answered and said unto them, He who sows the good seed is the Son of Man.
13:38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom, and the tares are the children of the wicked.
13:39 The enemy that sowed it is the devil; the harvest is the end of the century; and the reapers are the angels.
13:40 So as the tares are plucked up and burned in the fire, so shall it be at the end of this age.
13:41 The Son of Man will send his angels, and they will gather from his kingdom all those who serve as a stumbling block, and those who practice iniquity,
13:42 and shall cast them into the furnace of fire; there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
13:43 Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. The one who has ears to hear, hear.

It is notorious to realize the great difference between these two plants the wheat and the tares the first so important for human consumption with great benefits and the second on the other hand the harmful and toxic it is, both for human consumption, as in the farming. However, when the weeds are born next to the wheat, it can not be easily extracted as we think, it is not that simple since during that process of extermination we can damage the wheat that grows next to it and the farmers would be left without any harvest. It is for this reason that God makes present the wheat and the tares for such comparison in his word.

The truth and the lie, both good and bad, we inhabit together. We were all sowed like wheat by our creator the true god, but there exists the enemy the weeds that wants to separate us from it and sow its toxic seed in those who allow themselves to be deceived and begin in this way to act badly and trip up and divert others of the right path. Friends, we do not have the authority to condemn any entity or person, however, we have to know how to discern between good and evil, so that we avoid bad examples and unnecessary setbacks helping the repentance of many. For the fruits; that is, by the way they act, we can discern who could be of the wheat or of this evil weed that will be burned as straw in the fire in the future. Let us not be deceived, by those who announce a different gospel or according to the teachings of men we pray in wisdom to understand the true message of God and what really wants us to do everything according to his will according to his commandments and his holy gospel to teach with the truth of Christ, to earn eternal salvation and to be that wheat in abundance, providing great benefits on earth.
