Hi everyone in today's #celestialchallenge initiated by my mentor @sirknight who is very generous, i will be talking about agriculture
Firstly what is agriculture?
most of the country today understood that agriculture has to do with farming and rearing of animals.
Therefore agricultural science has to do with the cultivation of crops (plant) and rearing of animals.

We all known that there are two types of farming which are
Subsistence farming
Commercial farming
Subsistence farming is always a one man business i.e this farming has to do with the man and his family.
they make use of simple farm tools like cutlass, hoe, shade e.t.c
while commercial farming has to do with more than one persons or group of people , that are paid for the services rendered.
Commercial farming are mechanize farming. the equipment used in this farming are tractor, harvester, bulldozer e.t.c

Agriculture also deals with the rearing of farm animals like cattle, birds, fishes e.t.c

Functions of agriculture
in addition to food security, there are three main sets of functions.

1. Environmental functions
2. Economic functions
3. Social functions
4. Environmental functions: it identify opportunities between agriculture and the biological and physical properties of the environment
   2 The economic functions: agriculture sustain growth in the economic by providing foods for man's consumption.
5. The social functions: agriculture helps in improving agro- ecology and also the quality of life.
   These three functions works hand in hand.
   The other functions of agriculture are
   !. Provision of shelter
   2.Provision of food
   3.Raw materials
   While the disadvantage of agriculture is that it requires man power.
