This strange palette of colors that can be seen in the photograph is the result of electric charges on the carpet.
We are used to seeing essentially only two colors in the sky. The blue during the day and the red at dawn and at sunset (see also false sunsets and sunsets at home). It seems logical that between both colors green also appears, as it is an intermediate color between red and blue. For reasons we do not know, it is not as frequent as the other two colors. However, they can be found if one searches carefully at dawn or dusk, as the following photographs show. The first image has been taken and kindly ceded by Daniel Morcuende Parrilla where green is very clearly seen between red and light blue.
Green flash, or green ray, is an atmospheric optical phenomenon that occurs shortly after sunset or shortly before sunrise, in which you can see a green dot, usually by one or two seconds, on the position of the sun. It can also be seen as a green ray that leaves the point where the sun has set.
