Proposal to Cebu Steemit Community: Way of Helping the Community and Cebu Steemian’s Growth and Development

I am writing this blog to propose to the whole Cebu Steemit Community for possible activities that may be helpful in making not only our Community grow but also to help Cebu Steemians Grow.

Objectives

• Help Cebu Community’s growth and development;
• Have a support system or support group for new and old Steemians;
• Inculcate positive mindset to Cebu Steemians;
• Help Cebu Steemians grow and develop while steeming; and
• Have a personal interaction and deep relationship between steemians within Cebu Community.

Responsibilities and Pre-requisites

This proposal bears an arduous tasks and it needs the following qualities of steemians:

• Active Core Leaders (I am actually sure that core leaders in Cebu are very active and I am so grateful for their undying support to the community, I just included it here to complete the qualities);
• Team Leaders-Steemians who are willing to be trained by the core leaders and are willing to go an extra mile to help new steemians grow and engage in the community.
• Dedicated New Steemians-I agree that all new steemians are dedicated to pursue different passion. I am hoping that the dedication is coupled with the goal in sharing the goodness of the platform to fellow. In addition, this proposal needs a committed steemian for community and self growth and development.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

I am inspired with the goal of @jassennessaj in spreading steemit to students and to the fellow Cebuanos. This is in a way of helping him with his advocacy in spreading a firm Cebu Steemit Community. Personally, I am also eager to spread this platform to the people in Cebu.

This project is called ”WEEKLY GROUP MEET-UP” which is designed for a personal engagement of Cebu Steemians. This concept is anchored to the idea of big organizations in businesses.

Program structure starts from Core Leaders in Cebu who will handle Team Leaders. These team leaders are knowledgeable and were able to learn many things about steemit or willing to be trained by Core Leaders. Team Leaders and Core Leaders are responsible for the growth of the people within their small group.

The illustration above implies that One Core Leader may have Team Leaders in a number which he/she prefers. Those Team Leaders will be handling a number of Steemians old/new who are willing to learn more about the platform and is dedicated to Community Improvement and Self-Improvement.

Since, I have mentioned about the group growth,Team Leaders are responsible to train New Steemians to be a master of the platform to create another Team Leaders in their group.

Helping each other is encouraged in the structure that means, each one in the group are expected to communicate and participate actively with the group activity.

The presence of Team Leaders who will handle the group doesn’t mean that a new steemian is confined to that Team Leader only. Team Leaders are assigned so that new steemian will know who to call first for help and/ for advices.

We will help you grow in Steemit for free. In steemit, we succeed together.

Though organizations are managed by the team leaders and core leaders, it is of a great necessity that an individual steemian must be accountable for his/her own learning, growth and development. Having this system must not be an avenue for a steemian for being much dependent to others.

To ensure growth and development to Cebu Steemians, I humbly proposed that everyone will initiate to have a weekly small group meet-up.

POSSIBLE WEEKLY MEET-UP ACTIVITIES

This project focuses on the development of individual on steemit. With this aim, these are the possible activities that can be held every week.

Conducting Seminar

Seminars may be very helpful to have steemit knowledge growth of the cebu steemians. To help you have an engaging seminar, let me share some talks that can be done during the seminar:

1. You may start with welcoming new steemians;
2. Sharing your deepest why’s to other steemians: why you registered on steemit and why you are staying?
3. Story of success: You may let one or two of your members in your group or invite other people from other groups to share story of success on steemit. Speakers invited to speak may talk about the small success he/she has achieved in a week of steeming like powering up or achieving another high reputation, and the likes.
4. Tips and Advices: Your group may share some tips and advices on how to improve blogging or how to improve quality content posts.
5. All About Steemit: Your group may talk about what to do on steemit and what not to do and all stuffs about steemit.​Contests, Updates, and Announcements may be included in this part.
6. Mindsetting. Not all people who joined steemit are very well known of its technicalities. This mindsetting program may be helpful to the steemians to be more open of the new trends in technology. In addition, this is also a great avenue for the steemians to improve their own mindset in writing and earning. This part is helpful in bringing Cebuano Steemians to Financial Literacy.

​​Your group may have a different way of conducting the seminar or may have different topics to talk about depending on the needs of the members. The seminar may take an hour or so to ensure learning from the individuals.

Brainstorming of Ideas

Personally, I am not a person who has a great mind. It took me many moments of thinking on what to talk about in my blog. Brainstorming with other people may be helpful of thinking about what to blog. This is really helpful to other steemians who are still learning in writing good stuffs.

Sports

This is to integrate the development of socialization and physical fitness to the cebu steemians. I am very much happy to see that we have Cebu Steemians already who have started weekly meet-up for basketball which started last February 25, 2018 and was headed by @jassennessaj. I am actually hoping to see more other sports activities. Can we also have a zumba wearing steemit shirt? Hahah

Workshops

This is somewhat exciting! Having workshop will really help cebu steemians grow and discover their hidden potentials. If you have an artist in your group, you may conduct and art workshop, if you have a photographer in your group, you may have a photography workshop.

I think that the four activities stated are already enough to occupy the 1 month calendar of a cebu steemian. To lessen the stress of the core and team leaders, it is advisable to assign tasks to the members who are also potential leaders.

This project proposal doesn’t limit to Cebu Community. If you found this helpful to your own community you may use this proposal project also.

As disclaimer, all the ideas are my personal thoughts but I am happy to know your comments and suggestions.

I am still a plankton but whale inside on Steemit and striving to learn by myself. I am still looking forward for our university meet-up to be presided by our very own @jassennessaj. In addition, I am very happy to be part of the Cebu Community who are very active in discord and are very willing to help. I am hoping that this project will be realized with the help of the Cebu Community for its growth and development.

PERSONAL OATH

If I can learn well all the things that I needed to know here on steemit, I promise to handle my own organization following this structure and concept. I hope and excited to see Cebu Community grow with this proposal.
