Vaccination cost benefit analysis.

I've said this repeatedly during the pandemic, but don't reinvent the wheel if you don't have to. Contrary to some cranks, the CDC does do cost benefit analyses of vaccination versus illness/side effects.

If you are a parent of a child aged 6 months to 4 years, you can read all about the vaccines and about how the coronavirus has affected this age group here:

https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/71/wr/mm7126e2.htm

As ACIP notes coronavirus hospitalization rates in this age group have been as high or higher than seasonal influenza hospitalization rates. And half of coronavirus hospitalizations in this age group have been among children with no underlying health conditions. At least 200 children aged 6 months to 4 years old have died from the coronavirus. There have been nearly 2k cases of MIS-C in this age group as well.

CDC’s Vaccine Safety Datalink has not detected an increased risk for vaccine-induced myocarditis and pericarditis in children aged 5–11 years. Likely due to the younger ages and lower dose vaccines. There were no cases of myocarditis or pericarditis in the vaccine trials for children aged 6 months-4 years. And it stands to reason such risk will be similar or lower than it was for children aged 5-11 years given even lower doses and younger ages.
