In the news...

Heavy rains and local devastating floodings, leaving casualties and many homeless.

That's what you may have heard if you follow Bulgarian news.

The most devastating damages are at the sea.

All caused by human greed and in some cases negligence and even stupidity. Greed is first though.

The shore was so beautiful once, when it wasn't almost completely covered by concrete and occipied by people who don't give a dime about nature and tomorrow.

It is what it is. I guess we are destined to perish.

However, let's focus on the beautiful.

Some of my photos from around Ahtopol, Black Sea, Bulgaria...

... and its iconinc old lighthouse, of course...

Oh, I've seen some really impressive photos of this lighthouse during the recent storms and floods. Photographers really do capture the moment and make the most of it, bringing out the positive in everything, no matter how dire the situation may seem. Maybe now I understand your strange positivity. 😆 It takes the neutrality of a surgeon who is simply doing his job to be able to observe a terrible disaster and photograph it. This teaches wisdom, which is extremely necessary. Especially in the conditions in which we live.

I was once lucky to be there during a storm, the crashing waves, taller than the lighthouse itself, really beautiful :)

Beautiful words, as always, thanks! :)

Have a great day!

Floods wrecked havoc in Pakistan too this year. Mostly water just took its territory back where there were illegal settlements.

Breathtaking pictures as always.

Thank you! :)

I am almost certain there had been something shady, if not illegal too for the permits for putting up those residential buildings. Greed is infinite, unfortunately.

I hope your friends and relatives are well and not affected by those floodings!

Upvoted! Thank you for supporting witness @jswit.

Sorry for the bad news of your floods. If only we could move them here.

Thank you! Don't wish for it, though, it is really a nightmare...
