Exploring Albaicín, Granada, Spain – The Doors - Val Kilmer, R.I.P. - SteemAtlas Adventure #2
Today I would like to walk you around the beautiful Albaicin, an old neighbourhood of Granada, Andalusia, Spain.
In the morning I woke up to the sad news that Val Kilmer has passed. God rest his soul!
You know how when we hear a name of an artist we like, there is always a certain memory association that instantly pops up.
For me, his brightest and most memorable lead role is playing Jim Morrison in "The Doors" that was aired long ago, in 1991. True, I am a huge music fan, I was a performing musician for a few years in my youth and while The Doors aren't really one of my favorite music group, I'd say they left a big footprint in my musical education. Val Kilmer really played Jim Morrison in a brilliant way!
Perhaps now you see the connection with the subject of my travel post today. I am going to walk you around this lovely hood and show you some doors! :)
As a photographer, I loved walking around the hood. Albaicin, established on the hill opposing Alhambra, provides wonderful panoramic views.
I would recommend meeting the day at sunrise there or just waiting for the sunset. Both moments are magical.
And as I've checked a few miradors, I've left below in the post the map link to the one I think has the best views at evening and sunset, enjoy!
Now, without further ado, here are the doors at the streets of Albaicín, Granada, Spain.
Breathtaking Andalusia!
