Caturday: Cat Fight
Happy #caturday everyone. This is also my entry for #dailypetphotography hosted by @kona.
With the cooler mornings, Hubby starts a nice wood fire to cosy up the house. The two cats, Red and Sunday, love the fire but this morning they are a bit frisky and it looked like a cat fight about to erupt. I broke up the fight before Sunday got the worse of it and they went off in separate directions. Both being males, they like to test the strength of the other periodically. Sunday is in defence mode. Although it looks like Red is the aggressor, Sunday had taken a swipe at his back first. Sunday likes to play fight but grumpy pumpkin Red gets serious real fast.
The older cat, Red, is now ten years old and still the more powerful one. He has big paws - one slap will send Sunday away.

I'm rooting for the big fluffy one, but from my observations, the short haired guy on the floor wins.
Big fluffy Red always wins when he gets fed up with Sunday’s antics. Red takes his big paw and slams Sunday’s head to the floor- just like a wrestler. 😂

Awe..I'm glad you were able to de-escalate the situation. Love your photos and the edit. I'm a little jealous of that lovely wood fire you and hubby got going there but jealous in a very nice way. It looks so cozy, warm and inviting. 🤗 😉 💞
Thanks Dee! 💗 I worry about Sunday getting the worse of their little spats because he was sickly for a long time but I think they get bored staying inside all the time. 🐱 😊
Yes, it is nice to have the wood heat available. it’s important here to have a wood stove backup in case of a power failure in the winter. I could heat up food on it if necessary.
You are very welcome Jo! I know what you mean as Tiger is constantly going after poor Friendly. Friendly is getting older and isn't as spry as she used to be. 🙂
