Next chapter of the tomcat story

This week, I realised that the visitor is extremely stressed and aggressive inside my house but fairly friendly and affectionate outside. That would be due to the effect of my cats being as intimidating as possible when he is inside. He comes for food at least twice a day and has slept inside a few nights this week. Yesterday I came home and found him relaxing on my bed so he is making himself at home.

I am a little surprised because when I was stroking him outside as he lay on his side, I got a good look under his tail and I can see that he was neutered 2-3 weeks ago so he does have another home but he prefers mine, grumpy alpha males and all. I put up notices on the neighborhood social media but no one has claimed him.

He makes all sorts of excited sniffing noises when I put his food so he is likely to end being named Sniffles or something equally unimaginative and he eats like a starving creature but he has grown visibly in the past 3 weeks so perhaps he isn't fed properly at home. He even eats dog biscuits if he gets a chance: I have dog biscuits in the house because I help my neighbour who is too broke to feed her dog.

I got lucky with not needing to neuter this boy but of course I don't get out of needing to deal with my other visitor: he's been around too and I will start feeding him as well now. The way to these guys hearts is definitely through their stomachs: tomcats roam so much that they are always starving.

The flash makes him look like a creature from the infernal universe but he is actually a handsome tuxedo chap

I really liked the cat!
Slept in your bed ha ha ha
There is a proverb: "plant a pig behind the table, she and her feet on the table" :-))
In your case, this is your a bed.
Watch out, the next time he can take a bath!

I don't mind, he is well behaved

You and your soft heart. ❤️

That last pics scale looks so wacky to me. That tomcat looks like he’s the size of a mouse. I must be missing something!

I am the Catlady after all. It's also a way to keep the peace: a wild, hungry tomcat is actually a terrible nuisance. They fight with my cats, causing abscesses that can be expensive to treat and/or come into my house and spray smelly tomcat piss everywhere or start fights and yowling contests at 3am.
He's hanging out next to an extremely large rock that makes him look small

Gosh...cat politics! I’d never considered it. 😮
I get it with the expensive pet bills. And you know what, I get it with the piss too. Only it’s the possums that do that at my place. They can’t be reasoned with and they eat EVERYTHING, including the leaves of my favorite tree. One season, they stripped the poor thing back to bare branches! Definitely, no doggie biscuits for them! 😡

Perhaps if you fed them, they wouldn't destroy the place? Or is it better not to feed the wildlife?

These possums are generating an army to take over my home. I’m not sure I should be helping their breeding program....

Wow! This cat allows you to touch him! Good job!
The other cat in the dark looks like an electric owl!! Good luck.

Thank you. I think that he will also be easy if I feed him

You're such a great person, taking care of these fluffy cuties! :)

Aw. That's what Cat ladies are for!

He is a cutie. How many cats do you care for?

I have 5, he is number six. The numbers have fluctuated around 5-7 in the past 18 months

That's a good manageable number. :-)

Only from the viewpoint of having 11 ;)

Very cute cute cat. Most importantly, he loves doggy biscuits. So feed it is not difficult. Animals quickly become accustomed if treated well. They reciprocate their owners and show by all means how good they are and that they are glad to be in this house.

Dog food is not good for cats though, the nutrient balance is incorrect

Thank you for taking care of these struggling felines, for whatever reason they may be less than happy. I guess they just sense that you're a kind-hearted person, so they stay around. Interesting that your one visitor is a freshly neutered cat... I don't think you have a trap-neuter-release program where you are? Odd that someone would care enough to get the operation done on a cat, but not care enough to take care of it. Hoomans!

Happy Caturday!
=^..^=

I am the TNR program. He isn't feral but if it had been TNR, his ear would have been tipped. Hoomans indeed

TUXEDO CAT!!!

Please call him Mr. Sniffles!

Maybe he will still go home. I haven't seen him in about 30 hours although the tuxedo cat was here singing and pissing smelly tomcat piss everywhere last night

Such a handsome boy!

Our outside adoptees. "The Black Cloud" feral gang. We will not turn away a kitty in need either. Kindred spirits. You Must lay on your side to view this... lol 20170704_210345.jpg
