The appearance of lichen in cats is a serious and dangerous problem that should be solved as soon as possible.
As a rule, it is ringworm, the causative agent of which is several varieties of fungus - dermatophyte, such as Trichophyton, Microcporum gypseum, Microcporum canis.
It disputes tend to persist for a long time, not only easily transmitted from one animal to another, but man.
It is dangerous and the fact that it is not possible to fight with the help of detergents and disinfectants.
The source of infection are homeless animals and rodents. The incubation period lasts from a week to three months.
Signs of ringworm:
- areas of bald skin;
- presence of scales and pustules on them;
- may be itchy.
Infected areas of the skin can be located mainly on the head, neck and tail.
If you do not treat ringworm, it quickly spread to the whole body of the animal.
It is necessary to diagnose and treat a cat in a veterinary clinic.
Usually, in the mild form of the disease, injections of vaccines are prescribed:
- Wandern F;
- Microderms . ;
- Polyvac.
In the case of a more serious stage of the disease, ointments are used:
- Fungin . ;
- YAM BK;
- Sanoderm and others;
- Excellent help baths of sulfur lime.
Oral medication:
- Griseofulvin;
- Ketoconazole;
- Itraconazole.
You must also be aware of your own safety:
- do not contact with a sick pet;

To cure ringworm in a cat, you can use a folk recipe. It to me many years ago advised one friend, when my cat ripped off half the tail.
The recipe was so simple that I even doubted the result of such treatment.
The essence of it is that it is necessary to take a piece of newsprint, roll tightly into a tube and burn it, but so that there was no access to the fire of air. In the end it should be a fine ash which must be mixed with ointment.
I took for this purpose "Lorinden C", which helps with allergies, relieves itching. When the cat's condition improved, I already mixed the ash with the usual baby cream.
The resulting mixture smeared the affected skin. After a couple of weeks the skin is cleansed, then it began to appear wool. By the end of the month there were no traces of depriving.
Then I saved this recipe. It was used by my friends and acquaintances.
