Waiting at the vet
Waiting to get x- rays of Teddy's leg and foot. He's in a lot of pain and his foot is quite swollen. He's been getting spasms in his legs and then grabbing his foot, biting down and pulling. The vet suspects the pin from when he broke his leg 2 years ago is causing nerve pain so hoping they can see on the xrays and then we'll decide how to go ahead.
When I got the carrier out this morning Flash knew it wasn't for him and he helped comfort Teddy by sitting on his box.
In the 1930s, two Russian biologists discovered that color change in Siamese kittens depend on their body temperature. Siamese cats carry albino genes that work only when the body temperature is above 98° F. If these kittens are left in a very warm room, their points won’t darken and they will stay a creamy white.

Shame Liz, hope the vet is able to figure out what is going on with Teddy. Sweet how flash comforts him :) animals are so perceptive.
I think he was partly using him as a perch and partly worried about his welfare. He came running to greet Teddy when we got back and did a lot of nose touches. They're not super affectionate towards each other usually so I think Flash was maybe a bit worried 🙂
I hope your vet experience goes better than our recent experiences. Teddy couldn't have chosen better humans to adopt, you two seem to really take care of him well.
I'm so sorry for your loss. I just read your story.
We've been very happy with his vet. The previous vet didn't give us much hope and also said we would have to get xrays and MRI's worth hundreds of dollars and then there was nothing more we could really do to help him. I found the current vet on the internet as they offer aquatherapy and rehab. It was during rehab that we found out he had broken his leg. We've been with Peninsula Vet for 2 years now and have been very happy. All the staff know him and some would bring him treats when he was in hospital there for almost a month. We've always had wonderful service and care there.
I hope you find a good vet near you again.
