My experiences with various ways of trimming a cat's claws.

I've had a variety of different cats throughout my life. One thing everyone with a cat knows is that they scratch everything to sharpen their talons. Well how do you fix that? Chemical spray? Declaw them? Glue rubber boots on them? From my understanding their claws are like an onion they have layers which will fall off. I personally view declawing cats as inhumane; it's as though you would chop the knuckle off of your hand. No thanks. I've glued the rubber boots to their claws. Sure it works. If you like to deal with the glue and all of that mess. You can file them down go spend 40 bucks and get yourself a home gamer dremel tool for cats. Didn't care for that the cat didn't either. I found a better way. Get yourself an actual drill battery pack cordless kind works best, then get some sandpaper dremel style bits. Now you're cooking. The process is a heck of a lot faster. You get the light from the drill to see what's going on and the cat appreciates you not pinning them down using one of those incredibly slow home gamer cat sandpaper dremels. Granted you shouldn't run the drill at max speed or anywhere near it. Common' be smart here. Run it at low speed just enough that it will chew through and not build up heat. I've found this brings a nice clean not slice your arm into pieces due to raging cat feel. Oh course the cats still going to try to scratch but it won't tear up your things. Are there better ways? Chop them? what if you are off now you have a cat bleeding out which will probably lead to an infection. Take your time and grind those talons off. Test it on your own nails first to get a feel for it then you'll know what is going on when you move on to your companion. They'll thank you by not tearing you up, as an added bonus throw in some cookies for them. You have to catch them while they are tired. Run them around with the laser pointer till they are tired out. The first few times they are going to not know what is going on and fight you. But they will grow accustomed to it.

Repurpose the drill as needed. Don't waste your money buying this or that use what you have.Pic_2018_02_22_12_13_58.jpg

Cats have "nine lives" thanks to a flexible spine and powerful leg and back muscles

According to Hebrew legend, Noah prayed to God for help protecting all the food he stored on the ark from being eaten by rats. In reply, God made the lion sneeze, and out popped a cat.
