My Cat Has Herpes
As mentioned in a previous post , my rescue cat Hugo has herpes in eyes and also FIV (feline aids) .
Amongst the signs are congestion, watery eyes / nose and sneezing.
Feline herpes is also known as feline viral rhinopneumonitis (FVR), rhinotracheitis virus and feline herpesvirus type 1 (FHV-1), and one of the most common causes of upper respiratory infections in cats.
Without fail,everyday I clean his face and eyes with saline and cotton pads , if I don’t his eyes will crust up and the gunk comes out .Besides that he gets l lysine in his food which he doesn’t seem to mind .
