Cat Aids (FIV)

My cat Hugo has fIV as I found out when I rescued him from the cats protection. I never heard for F.I.V before but I was given a lot of advance and have gained a lot of knowledge on the subject .

Feline immunodeficiency virus is a lentivirus that is cats catch worldwide. Up to 4.4% of cats around the world are infected with FIV.

FIV is mainly passed from cat to cat through deep bite wounds (aggressive fights) and territorial fights amongst cats.
A less common way of transmission is from an FIV-infected mother cat to her kitten.
