The last case of the day was an interesting one. A one-year-old neutered cat presented with a history of lethargy and labored breathing since Friday. Patient vomited once. The patient has been playing with dental floss and q-tips. The patient is feverish (105 F). Survey radiographs show a long foreign body that I am assuming is a q-tip. The cat was hospitalized and scheduled for abdominal exploratory tomorrow morning. The cost estimated for surgery and hospitalization is approximately $2,771.00

Poor kitty, poor owner's pocketbook. This is a good reason to think of your pets as small children and monitor them as such. Poor little guy!

Also, another reason to have Pet Insurance.

Yes, good advice!

Nice sharing brother

oh dear, pour kitten. So if you are a cat owner, beware what's on the ground. Better keep it all safe in the cupboard.

Wow! another case that I had not seen ... I hope everything goes well for this kitten...Greetings @manorvillemike

Cats do seem to have a way of getting into all sorts of things... and then chewing/swallowing them. Seems they have a very hard time spitting anything out, once it's in their mouths.

=^..^=

Yike these little guys can get into all kinds of serious and costly troubles.

Yes, they do!
