Rare Cat Breed: Peterbald Cat

Here is a weird cat from Russia that hates the cold!
The Peterbald is a short-haired cat breed of Russian origin. Peterbalds look like Oriental Shorthairs. They have a hair-losing gene and can be born bald, flocked, brush, or with a straight coat. Those born with hair, excepting the straight-coats, can lose hair over time. They come in all cat colors and markings.
The body is long and lean and the head has ears which are extra large and pointed. This cat weights from 6 to 10 pounds.
This breed was created in St. Petersburg, Russia 1994, by cross-breeding a male Donosky with an Oriental Shorthair female. The result were oriental hairless cats that were named Peterbald. Siamese cats and Russian Blues cat breeds were later added to the genetic mix.
This cat breed is elegant, affectionate playful, and intelligent. They do well with older children and other pets. Because they are hairless, they must be kept warm in cold weather, and should not be allowed outdoors.

I think I prefer fluffy cat breeds :)
Yes, some are hairless while some have very short hairs.
They look really different from other cats but from what I know, they are really very sweet and affectionate! If I am to have that kind of breed, I would love it as much as I love my other cats. ❤❤
