It's another lazy Sunday around Ye Olde Homestead, and I'm enjoying my favorite things: Good snacks, sunny spots and naps... not necessarily in that order.

I like to occasionally throw in little reminders to be grateful for what you have in your life. We often tend to get a little too wrapped up in what is missing, so we forget what we already have. Or take it for granted.

Enjoying a comfy sleeping spot... almost asleep... zzzz...

What IS "Quality of Life?"

Humans talk a lot about this thing called "quality of life," but I am not sure anyone ever stops to consider exactly what that is.

Comfort? Safety? Peace and Quiet? Entertainment? Wealth? Influence? Friendships?

When I see a street cat, I realize my quality of life is good: I'm loved, I have a cushy place to sleep, plenty of food and safety and protection. 

But quality of life is different things to different people.

Quality of Life: Being able to explore the guest bed when we have visitors!

A passionate traveler would probably describe it quite differently from a homebody who likes to stay in one place all the time.

So as you enjoy — hopefully! — your quality of life today, take a moment to consider exactly what it is that makes it up. And think about whether there are things you can add or remove to make things better, if they are not as you would want them to be.
