Greetings Felines and Hoomans of Steemlandia!

As we close in on this blog's 2nd anniversary, it's perhaps time to pause for a moment of reflection.

This little corner of the community was originally started as a way to bring something fluffier than blockchain and cryptocurrency into Steemians' daily lives, and also as part of supporting the early efforts of @kona's "Daily Pet Photography" initiative. Which, I might add, has grown into a lovely community for pet lovers all over the globe!

Ready to work!

Being "Curator" Cat also was a deliberate expression of wanting to spend some time looking for interesting original content, and encouraging the creators of it through engagement and upvotes.

Of course, with various changes to the Steem ecosystem and the crypto world in general falling off a cliff, that got derailed a bit. You don't get so far with a 1/2 cent upvote!

Feels like we might have weathered the worst of the storms, though... so maybe it's time to put a little extra effort into the CuratorCat blog!

"Curator Cat Considers"

Thinking of using this as a title for a periodic series of posts about a variety of topics, mostly from a "commentary" perspective... could be anything from news, to life, to politics to things happening here in our own community.

All... as seen through the eyes of a cat who is mostly really Zen and prefers naps to excessive drah-mah!

Perhaps also with bits of insight as to how a "small fry" (aka Steem "Minnow") can navigate the waters of our community and still make a difference. And maybe even build a small "savings account" balance for a rain day, using both Steem and the numerous SCOT tribes we now have... and now the various "Hives" we keep seeing.

Could be a fun thing to do!

Note: This does not mean I'm abandoning things like Caturday and cute cat photos!
