Whereas there are plenty of bots here, there are also a lot of us who make up the genuine core community here, and we tend to interact pretty extensively.
At the moment, I am part of a movement to build a "cat lovers community" around the #catsofsteemit tag... so if you follow that tag (just click on it, anywhere you see it) you will find real people maintaining real blogs, mostly about their cats.
