RE: Grapthar's Daily Cat Photos! Sleepy-Time for the Crew, Plus Kenji Returns!

Cleo has long legs!
Kenji in her shabby cardboard box - what a sweetheart!
Blaze rules no matter what. I'm biased, right?
How long have the Trio been living in the same house - how long has it taken for Tiger and Cleo to adopt such close quarters with each other and sustain it for as long as they did?

Sort:

Yeah Cleo has suuuuper long legs, much longer than the other 2.

They've all been together since they were babies, we adopted them when they were 1, maybe like 11 months. Cleo and Tiger sometimes will hang out together, it's pretty rare but every so often I find them snuggled up or cleaning each other. It's usually Cleo and Blaze together, but Blaze gets too hot when she sleeps next to (aka on top of) him, so he bails pretty quickly, lol.

So in LESS THAN a year, these three are getting closer and more tolerant of each other. I've read it can take more than a year, and not to abandon hope of Bobi the Bad ever tolerating another cat. Ha. After the first pair of collies died (they were here before Bobi), we eventually got two new collies (sorry, not sorry, Bobi), and Bobi is outnumbered, outsized, and outclassed, so he does not persecute the dogs. Just sneers at them in his annoying little voice, but the dogs have no idea what he's saying, and no concern for his complaints. Yay, dogs! --It doesn't sound like your cat trio is very loud. Bobi wouldn't be nearly as Bad if he'd just pipe down.

oh, sorry I didn't write that well, they have all been together for about 3 years total, since they were babies. We adopted them when they were 11 months old, so they've been together for their whole lives basically. Oh yeah, these guys are SUPER quiet, they definitely meow occasionally but overall they're really a silent bunch, haha. They make noise when I meow at them, but never when they want food/pets/etc.

LOL!
What a great trio you have!
I'm not surprised it's taken closer to THREE years for these felines to warm up to each other. Good ol' Blaze - "too hot" for cuddling. :)

hehe yeah he is the most sensitive to overheating, if he gets too warm he bails and runs downstairs to lay down on the cool tile in the kitchen.

I have also wondered how our cats would react if we had a dog, but I was outvoted on that front haha. Too many animals they said.... hehe.
