I do feel less like killing everyone around me, as well as myself, so it was a good long weekend. (cat photos alert!)

in #cat7 years ago (edited)

I spent it doing my version of nothing. I still had to work half day Saturday, but it was okay and no-one really killable bothered me. A big plus was spending the weekend with my fourth child...Snuffles!

On the off days, in between cooking and loading the dishwasher so many times that I dreamed about it, (we are a family of eight), I binge watched series and played mindless games on my phone. It was bliss. I also cleaned out a few shelves and drawers and threw away tons of junk. Of course I had to venture into my "online auction room", where I keep my stock and take my photos, for a couple of hours, but Snuffles my feral cat kept me amused.

I am working in my pajamas, which is part of the fun of working at home. And yes, my legs are full of tiny little claw holes.

As the regular readers of my blog will know Snuffles is the tiny very sick feral kitten I found outside my shop about 6 months ago.  I had to feed him with a syringe and it was touch and go whether he would survive for a few weeks. He weighed less than 100g when I found him. Today he weighs 1,4kg. He is actually a bit overweight now.

(One day after finding him. I kept him at the shop for 2 weeks in fear of him infecting my other cats.)

I admit freely my husband and I have spoiled him rotten. We have 3 other adult cats, but he has quickly become the alpha cat. We have to feed him separately to the other cats. I tried letting him share their communal food bowl....once. The next morning I found a huge poop on top of the pellets. The message was clear!

He kisses us if we ask him to by touching his nose to our lips, if he feels like it. (He is a cat after all!) He also plays peekaboo and clearly recognises the words. If I go to the loo, he runs to the "shower hole" as if it is some sort of a communal thing. With a serious risk of TMI I'm going to end this blog now.

In conclusion, rest and pets make me happy!
