Meow’s 3rd Kitten whereabouts is kind of a mystery

Yesterday, talked about our flat cat Meow now only with two kittens. Well, that’s true, her 3rd kitten who was there a week ago, may be wandering somewhere in our flat premises and I have seen a similar coloured kitten who was coming to cat Meow in the morning today but Meow paw beat it.

Even after this hostile action that kitten was following and coming to cat Meow, perhaps it’s her 3rd kitten. Whatever the fact, Meow has refused to accept that kitty, but I am sure it is more or less secure in the flat premises, these things happen, can’t do much for it.

Here is a scene where the ginger kitten tries to come and mingle with Meow, she kind of rejected it, although she did allow it to sniff and lick her upstairs where the little cat followed her. Maybe, it was her once well cared for 3rd kitten?

Cat Meow’s heart still warm for her two remaining kittens!!

However, cat Meow’s two kitties remain the apple of her eyes. Most times when I see the two kittens emerge on the compound wall, Mom cat’s heart seems to be kindled to lick and love these kitties. These days, the kitties tolerate a bit of human presence, allowing me to come close to take it’s picture, come more closer and it jumps back on to the other side of the compound wall.

There are tall tree bushes it uses to climb up and jump down from the compound wall. The kittens even stand on the bush brand near to the compound wall several times, not emerging up but still there.

Here's a video of Cat Meow loving her kitties -

Quite some Kitten dramas in the flat premises

However, at times there are kitten dramas in my flat premises. A grey kitten particularly keeps running and making noises all the time. I saw it before running around, having food kept for Meow in the first floor. However, it runs away when humans approach it at rocket speed.

Today, although I had no intention of feeding this kitten, I brought it a bowl of kebbel food as it was meowing a lot, it eat it full from underneath the car, making sure it maintained a lot of distance from me, selfish creature. Anyway, little cats are forgiven for their flaws by me. Ha!!

So these are the latest from my part of the cat world. Last week, Meow had her spaying operation and every care taken for her recovery was not according to what the vet instructed.

Vet’s guidelines for the upkeep of Meow could not be adhered to

For ex, the vet instructed me that the cat should not lick the operated area even though it was taped for the next 4 days. This seemed out of my control, I cannot prevent Meow from licking herself, also I cannot monitor her all day long, already a lot of my time had gone in planning and preparing Meow's for the operation and boarding. Therefore I got her a e-collar.

The collar was a useless purchase, Meow removed it instantly

This was not useful one bit because Meow in her just operated and drowsy state itself managed to take off that e-collar. I put it on multiple times on her in the first day but all the time she managed to take it off. Then I left it because she was still drowsy and I felt putting that collar was stressing her, especially since she was locked inside her cage and been operated recently!!

The vet had told me to keep her indoors for 5 days, but I released her post 2 days after reading that many people had done the same, even for a cat Mom with feeding kitties.
Generally 24 hours should suffice and kittens don’t take the stitches off, although monitoring the cat’s stitches is important, also if that area is taped, bandaged it’s protected. Keeping her indoors for 5 days when her kittens are waiting for her, seemed unfair.

Here is Cat Meow resting on Saturday night, she's already alert and well even though she was operated that same day morning.

Compound jumping good samaritan fed Cat Meow’s 3 kitties on the other side

Her then 3 kittens were in the compound area covered in bushy greenery and one of my flat residents for 2 days - Saturday and Sunday last week, jumped to the other side of the compound wall and gave the 3 kittens wet food. They more than survived, as when I released Meow on Monday, all 3 kitties got loving licks. If it were not for the support got from this compound jumping good Samaritan, I am not sure her kittens would have survived. I was helped by him in getting a boarding cage for Meow as well, and he had also donated money earlier for kitten crypta, for her vaccination when I had no money.

Last week seemed the most optune time to finish off this spaying business

I had sold some of my LTC cryptos to manage expenses this month and I have no regrets, because I knew I have to spay Meow now, else some more kittens would keep emerging and Carona cases were increasing day by day, so having the operation postponed would not help. Although cat Meow did get super stressed when she was taken to the operation, here is a miserable picture of her, trying to open the carrier gate in a moving vehicle. But all that’s over!!

Overall, I think everything is good, expect for a missing kitten, but these things happen, it cannot be helped.
