I am sure that the cat thinks doing this is cat-tastrophically dangerous. Lots of water could come down at any minute, and that would mean wet cat. To be avoided at all cost!

True, they both HATE getting wet, and they do act like it is dangerous. Funny! That is probably why the other one stays away from the sink.
