Here i'd like to share some more info "This castle still owned by a branch of the same family (the Eltz family) that lived there in the 12th century, 33 generations ago. Bürresheim Castle (Schloss Bürresheim), Eltz Castle and Lissingen Castle are the only castles on the left bank of the Rhine in Rhineland-Palatinatewhich have never been destroyed.

Thank you for giving readers even more information about the castle, I appreciate it. I didn’t know that they were the only castles on the left bank of the Rhine that have never been destroyed. I’m quite glad they haven’t been as it would have been a shame to destroy something so beautiful after standing for centuries.
