Promo Artwork for 24/7 VR Festival built on Decentraland blockchain
I've recently been doing some work for districts in Decentraland.
If you don't know aout DCL it's a VR world being built on the blockchain

This character is for the district Festival.land which plans to be a 24/7/365 Festival space with live music stages, visual arts, comedy and circus tents, burlesque shows, fairground rides, sideshow games, cinema, theatre and fireworks
The Process
Firstly I draw everything by hand... I'm not as good as some of the artists on steemit so I usually have to draw out my ideas a few times
I often have to redraw parts close up to make sure I have all the details I need
once I am happy that I have all the parts I need I compile the sketches into a clear vectored outline using Adobe Illustrator
add a splash of colour
and finally some subtle shading using photoshop
I don't usually show the process behind my work, as I see artwork as a kind of illusion, but I guess it's nice to let people behind the curtain once in a while
Good work buddy, I feel like I may have met this character on numerous occasions in G... normally a random stranger asleep on the sofa outside my bedroom :-)

This is a fab character too!
it's an ambitious project but it could be a game changer, a lot of work needed to get it up and running at the moment
