Vankel rotary engine

This engine is the most popular engine (after V6) for car geeks. Everyone likes its sound, and power which it makes, but the bad side is that it needs reparation after approx 150k km.

It is made by Felix Wankel in 1929 i think. First mass production was in Mazda. It has oval epitrochoid-in-shape housing, and eccentric shaft made with eccentric lobes on which rotor rides. The rotor is shaped triangularly.

The rotors rotate around the eccentrics and make orbital revolutions around the eccentric and make orbital revolutions around the e-shaft.

Here you can see how it works. It is very simple it goes in circle motions and in every position it makes it own yob. Taking fuel closing air and taking air closing the fuel.

I think that the good side is very high power ratio and it runs with almost no vibration. It is cheaper to mass produce and the engine is small in size.

The famous car in which this engine started to be mass produced. It is mazda this is model MX-x famous for tuning and body kits. This car is loud as hell also fast but it has its own character which makes it famous.
