Ford is at it again
The original GT 40 was amazing, a massive V8 in a light car. The birth of this legend occurred because Ford wanted to buy Ferrari, but Ferrari refused, so Henry Ford II decided to hit Ferrari where it hurt most, on the track. With the massive 427 Ford dominated, but in 1968 size restrictions were set in place, so Ford went with the smaller 289, and they were still successful.
Ford is at it again with the new 2017 Ford GT, it doesn't have a massive V8 like the GT 40, or the GT from the mid 2000s, instead it has a 3.5 ecoboost, which makes a staggering 630 horsepower. Ford has also raided the periodic table finding the lightest materials to make it extremely light, so light it has the best power to weight ratio of any production car, ever. Its an amazing car, but expect to pay for all of that awesomeness, it will cost 400k.
This is the third time Ford has given us this supercar, and if its anything like the previous generations, it will be amazing. Sadly, unless you're selected to buy the GT, you'll likely be waiting til 2020 to get one, and even then, there's likely going to be more demand than supply, so expect huge markups.
What a beauty thank you for sharing
It is beautiful! Thank you for commenting.
WOW that's a lot of money to spend on a car
It is, but the crazy thing is thats cheap for a supercar.
Looks amazing, and I love the blue
I love the blue also, Fords should be blue, like Ferraris should be red.
