Atmo venting a factory bov can cause other problems too, lolz. if the car is built you can do what you want, my AE86 has no BOV. My stag has a HKS SSQV. both built. you can tune for these things, but when its a bog stock car these kindsa hacks tent to have adverse effects

@mfxae86

Its just bad for the enviroment, but so are open exhausts and such. Your AE86 is turbo charged? Thats not stock... hah.

I guess if the car is built for it, just seems counter productive to block off a pressure release value for some cool sounds. But so are whistler tips and other things, just done for the lolz I guess.

BOV is for sparing the factory turbo as they are designed to operate a particular way, "where" that pressure vents becomes an emissions issue, but its not the sole purpose of the BOV. When the whole car is designed to function effectively you can do as you please, look at antilag systems.... then think about doing that to a factory turbo set up, lolz.

Yeah my 86 is fully built to do what it does.... no BOV is just the tip of the iceberg on that car. BUT it is designed to be that way and has not had a problem running like that at all.... besides blowing gearboxes, drive shafts and diffs, lolz.
