1958 Chevrolet Impala.

in #cars7 years ago

I took these photos at the Gosford Classic Car Museum in Sydney, Australia. The museum has over 450 cars with a combined value of over $70 million under one roof.

This is a 1958 Chevrolet Impala convertible with a 348 cu in or 5.7 lt V8 producing 279 hp or 208 kW

208kw in 1958 was really impressive, yet completely inefficient from a 5.7ltr engine these days! Great post and good photos, upvoted!

Not to mention the amount of weight you were carrying around with these massive beasts, cheers friend.

WOW, that's an awesome looking car.

It sure is, looks great, cheers lyrica.

Wicked looking car, thanks for sharing it with us :o)

You are most welcome my friend, cheers mate.

Chev's first big block was the 348 introduced in '58. My friend has a 4 door with a 6cylinder that he paid $25 dollars for and cruises the summers with!
Cool machine the '58 Chev.

How fast is the take off with the 6 cylinder? can't imagine it would be very impressive, cheers mate.

It was a common drive train option here on the flat prairies. Certainly no rocket.

Now that is is some classic American steel. Thanks for sharing.

And a massive amount of steel at that, wouldn't fancy paying the fuel bill though, cheers mate.

I love the classics, Steel, leather, wood. No plastic.

They were the days when you could sit on your car without falling through it, Lol cheers mate.

These are real monuments and the best of the automobile world! Young people should know what they will never are going to enjoy!

The best thing about the old cars was the fact that the all looked different, now I think most cars all look very similar, cheers friend.

The most beautiful car. I like classic cars.

They were a very unique looking car that's for sure, thanks for your visit, cheers.
