I don't know what is the India power grid and whol power system. But...
As I found in the Internet in India there are ~50mln cars. If you want to change all of them to the electric ones, you will need during the night (you set the plug to the socket in the evening to have fully charged car in the morning) around 50 gigawatts of electric power. 50 GW of extra power to charge electric vehicles... Is the power grid adequate to manage with such load?
