I have no idea why Alfa is so unpopular and with so bad reputation. They had One unreliable car, 33, in the 80's when all the cars were badly built and since the 156 (diesel) those cars are unbeatable. I took 156 in 2010 for less than 3000 Eur and she broke - never. My father took 156 as well. Also, no troubles at all. Last year I got Alfa 159. After 12.000 km - no troubles at all.
