We just happened to drive down Silverdale shore, and to our pleasant surprise was an early gen Jimny, perfect for a comparison video.

Both use a petrol engine the early one is 1.3 and the new one 1.5, the first gen was 600cc and two stroke.

The new model has quite a few differences, both are 4x4 and yet the earlier models have a grille built into the bonnet.

It is also colour coded on the earlier gen where as the new one has a black bumpers and the roof match the mirrors.

      Great I will watch the video soon. I love Jimny's I had a 1979 one with the 800cc engine. The first Jimny's had a 360cc two cylinder two stroke engine.
