Which is the best classic destination? Interview with Practical Classic’s Danny Hopkins

For the last week we’ve been following the Practical Classic’s guys tour with Footman James round Britain to find the ‘Best Classic Desination’.

Readers of the magazine got their chance to vote on which they thought was the best destination for classic cars, then the top 10 were put into a 7 day road trip.

The desination winners included various museums up and down the country, their route also took in some great driving roads and automotive land marks including the Haynes museum, Brooklands and even some small family collections.

We caught up with the Practical Classics tour at the Lakeland Car Museum, Cumbria in Lady Dorothy our W124 Mercedes Benz 230CE to grab a chat with some of the guys.

Petrolheads from all around turned out to meet the guys in a whole array of cars including Alvis, Bentley, Citroen, TVR, Rolls Royce even some specialist kit cars too.

We caught up with Danny Hopkins to find out more, including the US guy who based his whole holiday round the Tour which even included buying a classic over here, amazing.
