Alfa Romeo Giulia review and road test

in #cars6 years ago

Here it is , the long awaited Alfa Romeo Giulia Super model review, this took some time to edit due to a blend of weather conditions and other mishaps, here it is though. The car we had was a 200bhp driven by a 2 litre petrol turbocharged engine with 8 speed dual clutch gearbox with paddle shifts and DNA driving modes.

We had the car for 7 days and travelled a few hundred miles from Nottinghamshire to the Lake District and back, you will see in the video we found some new roads to show you our fellow Steemians, namely roads just outside kendal with steep hills and hairpins with amazing surroundings and views.

In the review we cover the functionality, practicality, styling and driving experience, followed by our verdict, both Michael and myself loved this car, the engine was punchy with great responsiveness and that combined with the DNA mode offered a real drivers experience.

The dynamic mode combined with the comfort and luxury offered in this model certainly gives the German premium brands a run for their money.

Thank you for having a look at our latest review if you have any questions about the car please comment below.

Great review @planetauto. This car was long awaited in Italy and surely means a rebirth of a great brand. I had the opportunity to drive the 180 AT8 gasoline, which in europe alongside the 150 gasoline will be the most selling version (damn high prices of petrol and taxes). The carbon fiber trasmission is insane and the car is really a beast in terms of handling.
I think the assembly are not top-notch and the price point should've been 2 to 4K lower to really be a massive hit.

I am looking forward for the new S60 from Volvo after the V60 was unveiled!

It's a fabulous car, enjoyed every moment in it, also saw some of its older brothers and sisters at Goodwood FOS, a mini Ferrari as one of youtube followers dubbed it.

Oh my, I love this car already ... I haven't been inside one but I can relate to the feel of the driving.

p.s I have only taking this kind of vehicle for spin int Need For Speed. So far that is the best I have done.

As far as review is done... this is just so amazing.

It's superb isn't it? no doubt you'll get to drive one in the future. It feels like a really cool car, luxurious with racing pedigree.

Thank you for the amazing feedback.

This is a beautiful car, but the Giulia Quadrifoglio would be my first choice lol...too bad it doesn't come in manual transmission here in Canada, what a waste.

Yes amazing car, you'll have to come to Europe to try it.

Haha the funny thing is that we used the Alfa Romeo Giulia as a camera car while filming the 4C video, unfortunately we ran out of time to film it for our channel but the Giulia was sure fun to drive!

Alfa Romeo 4C Spyder

oh that's a shame , there's always next time. Yes they are great fun.

There's a ferocious quality to an Alfa Romeo. It looks like a beast from the outside and it drives like one when inside. Unfortunately I've only ever been in the passanger seat :)

The D.N.A. mode is interesting.

There certainly is, I think you should definitely drive one. I'd like to drive the Quadrifoglio next ideally the Stelvio:) Loved this car, luxurious with Italian racing spirit, thank you

How big of a difference was there between the normal and dynamic mode?

Far tighter, stiffer shocks, more responsive acceleration and all round felt better planted.

Amazing cars. Is beautiful.

Yes they are, thank you.
