Muscle Car Tuesday - Shelby GT-500KR 'Eleanor' Super Snake [Original SLR Pics] - Detailed Walkaround
A road rage legend and the definition of 60s American Muscle courtesy of Carroll Shelby - may he rest in peace.
Instead of the 100s of 'Googled' pictures I'm very happy to share my original pics with you guys as this car really deserves nothing less!
Does this car need introduction? Carroll Shelby says no! This is a 1967 Shelby Mustang GT500 big-block NOS fired super muscle car with a special bodykit which was created for the movie 'Gone in 60 Seconds' starring Nicolas Cage and this car which was referred to as 'Eleanor'.
It made the already immortal Shelby Super Snake as it was sometimes called in real life even more legendary. Check out the metallic flakes in the paint in the shot above - pure class quality.
Special bodykit parts include airscoop:
Fuel filler cap:
Sidepipe exhaust with custom rocker panel:
Custom 17" wheels:
Special rear skirt with integrated reverse lights:
Special tiny mirrors:
Super polished door handles:
The hood is actually 'stock' Shelby:
Custom front fascia including low and high beam headlights, turn signals, LED daytime running and fog lights:
Add to that some custom suspension, drivetrain, transmission, NOS and exhaust setup and you got yourself a $250k monster Shelby Mustang:
Thank you for reading and watching dear Steemians and petrol and gear heads :).
This is a legendary muscle car, car lovers know what this beast is like. I've never had the chance to see this miracle live, I believe it's a fantastic feeling to stand next to it!
It’s incredible no doubt but nothing beats witness a Shelby Mustang fire up. Think late 80s power boat that is the sound only with some added grunt from the straight exhaust. Pure sex.
wow,i just love it.its yours?? its just awsome man!!
Nope, this is an original Shelby built by Classic Recreations in Florida I believe they’re from. Entered into the Shelby Registry upon purchase. MSRP over 220k USD
Many pictures full of details, benas tomas and excellent choice. I invite you to visit my blog!!! @peterschroeter
It's a beautiful car. My dad used to drag race a '67 Barracuda and the thing I remember loving the most was the hood pins! Classic.
