Would you pay this much $ for a "Subaru 22b"?
I've been searching for a Subaru Impreza 22b on the auctions and on overseas retails sites and have had no luck finding a single one for over a year. Of course these are mythical beasts with a number of only 424 ever produced and 399 sold to the public.
I managed to find the closest thing to a 22b and it was in the form of a modified Version 6 STI V Limited Type R.
Someone decided to make a tribute to the 22b by modifying his existing Subaru to look like one, I guess if you can't buy one you make your own one right?

What's your feelings on this? Would you pay £33695 / $48000 for this replica?

replica no matter how good is not the real thing, here in Malaysia alot of replica and when they sell it, the price include all this mods and similiar pricing to the real thing

Although it's not up there in terms of people buying an MR2 or something like it and attempting to make it look like a Ferrari F430. At least you're starting off with the right manufacturer for a replica here..

Nah Just keep looking for the legit one. bottom line is its not real, you could build it yourself for less.
For sure, these STI v6 Type R's go for around $8-9.5k at the auctions. This is a rip off of note
I can appreciate the work that has gone innto making the replica, but sometimes the owners "think" their car is worth much more than it is (or equal to the real deal) because of all they have gone through with the car. can understand dont agree through, lol. my 86 cost 50k to put together and i did most of the work myself with the help of friends as well. no way i would get that back if i tried to sell it... even wit h the takumi tax, lol.

Original fetches 125k USD +- these days but one hasn't sold in a few years.I know what you are saying though.... medium-higher mileage V limited Type R at the auctions are around $8-9k
