#233 One Day, One Car

Today back to the history when Mercedes-Benz was hand making cars...

The car? The Mercedes-Benz 540K

This model was released in a limited edition of 419 cars between 1935 and 1940.

The name 540K means that it is powered by a 5.4L flat in line 8 cylinders engine with an initial power of 115 HP and if
needed there was a manual system of supercharging to push the engine to 180 HP.

Do you know what "K" means?

Did you know?

There were 1500 people required to build the 540K.

The price? In 2009, one of these cars was sold on the auction for 1100 BTC.
