Today from Italy with this unique concept car by Bertone made for the brand Lamborghini in early 80's...
The car? The Lamborghini Athon
This concept car imagined for Lamborghini was the first ever full creation, i.e the design, the body, and the engine of Bertone, the Italian car styling company with at that moment a French designer Marc Deschamps.
The Egyptian God of the Sun was the inspiration for the name of this model...
Did you know?
At the beginning of 80's, Lamborghini faced a financial crisis and could not bring this model into production... But even without being manufactured in a series, this model the Athon contributed to Lamborghini's renaissance... How? By attracting people and the interest in the brand during hard moments.
The price? This version was sold on the auction in 2011 for 51 BTC (current BTC / USD value).

I think the designer of this featured Peugeot was a bit inspired by this model of Lamborghini...
Great car, with some technology implemented in... Like one of the first touch screens...
Ahhh Peugeot, that is an excellent example of the French manufacturer, which always had beautiful concept cars but never releases anything like it, so frustrating lol
I imagine the car market today would be quite exciting if all manufacturers produced every concept:D

That flying steering wheel is just nuts! While I've seen photos of this concept before, I never noticed how the side skirt actually extends outside the rear wheels, which looks kind of weird in my opinion. The design in its entirety, however is pretty stunning.
