Ford Focus RS Heritage Edition: Farewell to the Queen
The fourth generation Ford Focus will arrive in a few weeks sounding the end of production of the current Focus RS, mentioned for April 6. Before that date, some English customers will have the privilege to afford an ultimate Special Series, for lack of RS500, called Focus RS Heritage Edition ...
Limited to 50 copies, it celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Escort RS with which the blue oval manufacturer made its sports debut in Great Britain. This second series reserved for the English market follows the previous "Red Edition" but differs in several aspects. First of all, the color chosen here is orange, the brake calipers are gray and the forged alloy wheels and mirrors are black as on the Focus RS equipped with the Performance Pack (see our test).
Inside the Ford Focus RS Heritage Edition there is standard full-featured equipment with leather Recaro seats, sunroof, heated steering wheel, cruise control and rear parking sensors.
They will also be equipped with the limited-slip Quaife differential in the front, a real highlight of the Performance Pack, but they offer a special feature that will make us envious in our country: a motor signed Mountune, famous preparer Ford. The latter boosts the power of the 2.3-liter Ecoboost from 350 to 375 hp and the torque from 470 to 510.
Let's end with the price, rather elitist since this Focus RS Heritage Edition will be charged £ 39,895, about £ 7,000 more than the base model. That promises a future collector on the other side of the Channel ...
