Three things every car brand should stop doing.
We all have some particular preferences over a car, performance, comfort, luxury, practicality, etc. But we all can agree that some things are just annoying, and useless, so why the hell they keep doing it? To reduce costs, ok in a Mitsubishi Mirage I get it, but on some expensive sedans, or coupes I don't think so. Saving weight is another good reason in some cases, like the Ferrari F40 which doesn't even have a door handle, it just have a wire to pull, but thats totally understandable, in one of the best sport cars ever made. Anyway here are the most hateful things I can find in almost every car that should not exist.
1 - Blank buttons.
I can say as a fact that every person that owned a car in the last twenty years had seen this before, those blank useless "buttons" which also are not even buttons, you can't even press them, so instead you have a nice shaped button fixed plastic. I know this is to reduce costs by not having to make another dashboard different from the most complete version which probably have some real buttons there for some real functions. But why you don't cover them up with, like the Ford GT40 gen 2, which used the same dashboard center console as a Mustang but redesigned to that specific car functions, so it is covered with a nice (not so cheap I guess) plastic. but for cheaper cars, I don't know, maybe another piece of flat cheap plastic as the same of the rest of the dashboard.
2 - Fake air vents.
Ok the controversial one, and you sure say "its all about styling", and I totally agree with that, even in most of the cases I don't like them. The thing with the fake air vents is that, if you thought about style, why not making them real vents, they don't have anything to vent, but at list they are real. And Im talking about hood vents, side vents, rear vents on front engine cars, please make them real, the are useless just like the fake ones, but at least you can see a stylish real air vent in your car. If you take a look for example at the new Honda type R you will find every vent is fake, even the car has more than ten, or for example in the Citroen C-Quatre VTS, both cars which try to be some sport mid size cars, could have real vents, instead of fake vents.
3 - Fancy (useless) cup holders.
This is probably the funniest and most bizarre thing in car interior designs, I mean this is a thing you can see in a cheap Chinese car, or even in a luxury Mercedes Benz S class. I must admit some of them are really useful, they work fine and look so tech and futuristic, but most of them are some cheap shaky things where I would never put some drink to prove it can keep it away from the nice alcantara seat covers. You can find a lot of videos in youtube showing you how stupid where some cup holders designs are, and you don't even know why they still do them. Why don't you just use a place attached to the center console, which meas attached to the chasis almost, and make the cup fit more stable, rather than a floating robotic lady hand, trying to manage a cup of coffee in a bumpy road.
You could differ from what I'm talking about here, so please let me know your opinion or what would you remove from a car that is rather hateful, annoying or even useless.

Air vents are my favourite. Is like using a wig!
lol, more air vents, means more speed.
Fill in such blank buttons with "oil slick", "drop spikes", "Missiles"
Thats an awesome idea, it will still be a useless button, which could have a function if your car was a James Bond car.
Despite the shortcomings, this is a very beautiful car
Which one of the six cars I mentioned in the post are your referring?
