RVO published the Dutch EV registration data of March. A record number of 1,762 Battery Electric Vehicles has been registered. Tesla Model S (and X) and Nissan Leaf were top sellers this month.

Market overview

In total more than 2,000 EVs have been registered of which about 1,750 full EVs and nearly 300 PHEV vehicles. The total market share for EVs was 4.9% (4.2% for BEV).

Best selling cars

The top five best selling models were all full EVs. Teslas Model S had a record sales of 588. By quite a margin Nissans (new) Leaf was the second best selling car in the space with 299 registrations, followed by 283 Tesla Model X sales.
