Youtube series - Subaru Launch Control

I have been following this series since it's premier on Youtube back in 2013. It is a sort of reality show / documentary that showcases the exploits of Subaru Rally Team USA (managed by Vermont SportsCar), as they participate in rally events mainly in the United States and occasionally in overseas competitions, such as Rally America Championship, Global Rallycross, Canadian Rally Championship and World Rally Championship.

Currently in it's 6th season, each episode normally covers individual rally stages or events, including some behind the scenes segments where the viewers can see what goes on in the workshop and the pits before and during each race.

There are also filler episodes that shows what the members of the team does during their downtime, be it development work or even just leisurely activities to give the viewers a peek into the other side of their hectic motorsport life.

The episodes are very well shot. Frenetic high speed race sequences are often intercut with beautiful slow-mo shots such as the cars going sideways and kicking up dust and gravel; Also not forgetting those breathtaking landscape drone footage of each rally stage. Sure, it is made in part to promote the Subaru brand, but that doesn't take away how well made each episode is.

Your don't have to be a Subaru fanboy to watch the series. Heck, you don't even have to be a rally racing fan. If you are a petrolhead or simply a car enthusiast like me, chances are you will enjoy this series. Best of all, it is completely free to view on Youtube!
