A little sneek peek

in #cars7 years ago (edited)

I am going to try to cronical our new body build. It started out as the sheet behind the car. The pink is just a protective coating on the aluminum. It will be white. 25287.jpeg

We have most of the pieces in their rough form.

There is a lot of work left so i will try and get it all. It will eventually look kinda like this

dang this is freaking sick dude! following this is awesome.

thank you. If you want to go back and check out my blog i have quite a few different write ups on our B mod we just put together. It took 1st place at world of wheels car show and we won a track championship with it last year, with 300 point gap between us and 2nd. :)

this body we are building is going on our A mod. It is the big boy that puts out around 600-650 ish HP at the crank

haha thats sick dude! my wife used to race, and we are trying to get our daughter to race when she grows up!

that is awesome. Do you guys race dirt or asphalt? We run on dirt but my father in law has ran an asphalt car before for a while. You should get your daughter into go carts, they race them a lot around here. I am serious though i have only been here a month but you will love my articles i have done if you love racing. I have one posted up about a wooden half mile track they used to have here in kansas city. Yes, it was made of wood.

I started in go karts at 8 years old, hoping to get our daughter in one by 4! I’m looking forward to reading your blogs!

dang 8. thank you. a little protip from my brother in laws kart racing days. when we would watch him he could never tell us what the car was doing so we put 2 big zip ties up like bunny ears so we could visually see if the car was tight or loose. made tuning it in a lot easier being able to see where the car was actually being turned instead of relying on driver feedback.
\ / .............like that on the steering wheel.

That’s a sweet idea. Especially for young racers!

yep. we also have a saying for when we are trying to explain handling terminology
--tight is when the front of the car hits the wall first
-- loose is when the back of the car hits the wall first
--horse power is how fast you hit the wall
--torque is how far you move the wall when you hit it

Thank you. We really bust our asses on this year round. It is worth every bit of it though

:) that one is our big boy motor. this one turns 8400 RPM , ~ 421 cid sbc in a dart block, 14:1 compression, afr aluminum heads that are hogged out, 2.08 / 1.60 valves, pro systems 110 octane race gas carb right now. If this steemit money works out we will be swaping it over to a pro systems 890 cfm E-85 carb this year. all through a direct drive transmission into a quick change rear end that is ussually sporting a 6.30 gear

This is sick. I can't imagine what is the feeling inside this beast. I don't understand much in sportscars build, but this is wery impressive.

It is quite a ride . Here is a little in car video.

This is the only dyno sheet i could find. We let out early on this one. We ussually turn it up to 8400 rpm at the trackVZM.IMG_20161126_133634.jpg

Lets see if i can get this music to play
