On the other hand, at no point has the Japanese manufacturer used the Supra name. Not even in this new announcement. There have been rumors that it will use the iconic name, and suggestions that it won’t, but Toyota’s original words refer to “its most iconic sports car.”
Toyota Supra started life with the A40 generation in 1978, which, like the later Supra A60, was received from the Celica. In 1986 Toyota presented the A70 model or MK3 that used a separate platform, and interest started to rise.

By the end of the Supra MK3 in 1993, tuners in the country of the rising sun had begun to realize the potential in the twin-turbo version’s unburstable 1JZ, and when that was changed with the legendary 2JZ in the A80 or MK4, Toyota Supra reached its peak.

Unfortunately, It was stopped in the US in 1998 following a decline in sales. Three years later the sports cars became one of the most famous cars thanks to "The Fast and the Furious."
